SUMMARY:Monthly Devi pooja (every 1st sat of the month)
DESCRIPTION:On the first Saturday of every month\, Upāsakas gather at the Peedam to perform the sacred Kalasa Pūjā\, Abhiṣhegam\, and Alaṅgāram for the Divine Mother. \nThe Kalasa Pūjā includes the offering of Śhoḍaśa Upachāram\, Satcakra Pūjā\, Mātṛkā Akṣharam chanting\, and the recitation of the sacred Lalitā Sahasranāmam. Following this\, the Divine Mother will receive Abhiṣhegam and Alaṅgāram lovingly performed by fellow Upāsakas. \nThereafter\, Lalitā Triśatī Kuṅkumā Archanai will be conducted\, followed by the distribution of divine prasādam to all devotees. A spiritual satsang by Anna will also take place thereafter. \nDevotees from the public are warmly welcome to participate and sponsor the pūjā. DESCRIPTION:Significance of Neikunda Padayal: \nNeikunda Padayal is a unique and deeply symbolic offering\, most famously practised at Sri Lalithambigai Temple in Thirumeyachur\, Kumbakonam. During this ritual\, an elaborate array of naivedyam (food offerings) is presented to Devi\, along with a pool of ghee (clarified butter) offered in such a way that the reflection of the Goddess can be seen in it. \nGhee is considered highly auspicious in all forms of worship. It undergoes a sacred transformation—from milk to curd\, then butter\, and finally into clarified ghee—symbolizing inner purification. This practice teaches that just as milk evolves into ghee through refinement\, a devotee\, too\, must undergo self-purification to truly reflect the presence of the Devi within. \nMay the Devi bless all who had her darshan!
